yay me! i did what i said i was going to do!!! i just went for it...and look what happened! flippin' sweet! i finally started digging through my stash of things i want to scrapbook...the first one is that little comic strip called baby blues. i remember, even in high school, coming downstairs in the morning and blowing my dad away with all that was on my mind! you just woke up! how do you have this much to say already, he must have thought! i started off completely different...with sassafrass lass paper...and i was having a total mental block...i decided to try again with cosmo cricket...jack's world...one of my favorite paper lines EVER! i totally love how it turned out


well, this was actually the first thing i found...and it's a little encouraging note from my matty! i'm not sure what he was encouraging me to do...but if i asked, he would probably say anything! i love him so! we were talking about that in Church today...the kinds of people you need in your life...encouragers...i'm so thankful that i have some v. positive people in my life, who believe in me...and expect me to be my awesomest self.

she's baack!

these are two layouts that i just finished...i decided recently that i'm not going to worry about journaling...or even pictures so much anymore...i guess...what i want most to do is just get my ideas out...and not worry so much! i worry too much...so...i'm just going to go go go!!! and try try try!!!

so, matt and i were watching the travel channel...and there's this guy who used to play football, dressed up in bcgs and a pink bow tie, talking about traveling to different places...and he says, "who the hell wants to go to antarctica?" no shit! i couldn't have said it better myself! so, i totally had to find his picture on the web and make a page! it makes me smile every time i look at it! seriously...it's so cold...brrr...this girl was not meant for cold weather...anyways


i was just looking through my stash of pictures...and i found this picture of my aunt julie...now...i have to say...we did drink that night...but not until later....we're just an odd bunch...auntie karen would say "quirky" and just about all the women on my mom's side of the family...all her crazy sisters....have red hair....i swear...mine get's more red every year

this is some of the same sassafras lass paper...i usually love me some sassafrass lass...but this season, i wasn't really wowed by their paper line. the vintage yummy had some pretty cool stuff though....let's see, the lyrics say, "even if your whisper eats my ear, your voice will be the only one i long to hear" and that's from say anything.

ha! i totally need to take some pictures of matt's bus to put up here! he's such a hippie in disguise! and somewhere's there's a vw camper stamp...i thought it came with the mr campy set...but i was wrong...so sad....i totally need it though, so that i can make my matthew some goofy cards!

ahh...you know how people always say, be happy with what you have, because years from now you're going to miss it...totally true!!! i thought i was so fat in that picture! ha! why why why is an orange? God blessed us with beautifiul bodies...and today i'm going to start appreciating mine...and taking better care of it. period.

i've always wanted to make a button fram...do you know how hard it is to make a button frame? not hard, just time consuming...i just got a ton of well, a ton of stamps from RL, and i just organized all of my rubber and acrylic stamps, and was feeling the need to use some of my stuff...so i did...all over the crazy placemy bestie april...we are a couple of strange nuts. seriously...we're both tattoo covered, we tried surfing, she's jumped out of a plane...we love biking, but for those first few minutes that we see each other it's a estrogen frenzy! we jump around like little girls...talking non-stop about make up, each others hair...and we even bear shopping! ha! i love her!

i was asking God for inspiration....and i saw this picture in my mind. God is an amazing artist!

this is another one of my favorite images of God...as a big bird! "...he will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge..." God will keep you safe nestled under his feathers...just like a daddy penguin keeps his egg safe...sigh.

baby album

i made this book (again, totally stole the idea from RL) for one of my besties. she just had a little baby girl...peyton lona. i love this paper...or loved, since we don't have it in the store anymore...boo! on some of the pages i actually used some of my unity stamps! go me!

ammo cans

These...were a test of my patience! mr. francis let me have a few of his ammo cans, so that i could decorate them to hold my love notes and such from matt's deployments. i love the first one : ) it's "soldier boy" paper! but it's also artillery! king of battle!!! which is matt's mos.
the second one is more traditional. it's for matt's first deployment, where he was a provisional mp. they drove around in a humvee all of the time so i put the die cut on there! i'm going to put the die cut letter from home on the back and have him put to: erin nichole from: m
